It gives me great pleasure to bring to you
this new IITDAA website.
IITDAA is a community of 34,000 plus
members, who are spread out over six continents, with more than 30% residing
outside India, and less than 20% residing in Delhi. It is a group of individuals
who are enterprising and mobile. Hence, it mandates us to create common platform
for communication which is not restricting to Delhi, but helps its members to
interact over geographies. It has been our endeavour that our new website
addresses this long pending demand of our members, and provides an interactive
forum wherein members can communicate with others, reach out and interact with
their old lost college friends, form forums for discussion, and voice their
opinion on subjects of interest to our community. We believe this website will
also help us, and our alma mater, to reach out to members effectively but in a
non intrusive manner, to communicate with them on subjects of mutual interests
and keep them abreast with the latest development of our community, its alma
mater and its members.
Members of Web committee have worked hard to
bring this website to us. I like to take this opportunity to thank and
congratulate the web committee, and specifically, Himangshu Vaish, Somnath
Bharti, Yogesh Seth, Shashi Munjal Sanjay Ghambir to make this website a
reality. As we have planned, this is the phase one of development of this
platform and we plan to work further to develop it further over the year to
incorporate many more features.
And, finally, the success of this website
will depend on how and how many of us find it useful, and use it. I will
encourage all members to try this website, and send us your suggestions on
improvements that we can bring to this platform in order to make it more
effective.
