Bangalore: Two years after the cabinet gave approval for the set up for eight new Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), the institutes are still facing problems in putting the infrastructure together.

New Delhi: Further investigations into the fake institute scam that had been unearthed at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Kharagpur have revealed evidence that links four more professors at the IIT with the operation of the fake institute that was being run by senior IIT professor Amit Kumar Ghosh.

Dear Friends,

I am in a bad shape.
During recession, I lost two jobs. I had to sell my insurance policies and my car. I was unemployed for 5 months. Earlier, my father developed cancer. I left a very fine job in the USA and came to India.

During the period, I had to borrow from banks. Now I have a fairly decent job in Delhi. These debts are the only hurdle I am facing in my humble efforts to re-build my life. I am sure of surging ahead, once this obstacle is removed once and for all.

Sports & Quiz Contest

Dear Alumnus
As advised previously, we shall be holding an Inter-Chapter Sports & Quiz Contest.

We plan to have a Preliminary Round for the Quiz Competition at the below Chapters on 18th December with the one team from each Chapter taking part in the finals some time in the second half of January. The teams shall be of 3 members each. The questions shall be sent from IITDAA office and the Chapter President/Secretary shall conduct the contest.

OBITUARY:
Dr S.K.Suri, 1st alumni of IITD-Chemistry dept. he was Ph.D. of 1968 from Chemistry Dept. (1st Ph.D.from Chemistry dept) under the guidance of Prof. V.Ramakrishna. He joined Chemistry Dept as Associate lecturer, got promoted as Lecturer and then Asst Professor. He was very popular, friendly and a good teacher.
We pray for his soul to remain in peace.
