World 'running out of IP addresses'

The world will run out of internet addresses "within weeks", according to one of the founding fathers of the web, a report said on Friday. Vint Cerf, who helped create the web by connecting computers using Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, said it was his "fault" that the 4.3 billion addresses created were running out, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Ex-IITian starts world-class school in Bihar village

PATNA: In a remote corner of the state, at Chamanpura village of Gopalganj district, a story is unfolding of unique enterprise and innovative methods in school education.

Situated about 30 km from Gopalganj, this school, known as Chaitanya Gurukul Public School, was founded in 2009 by an ex-IITian, Chandrakant Singh , now based in Bangalore.

Google’s prototype language translator, Conversation Mode now lets you communicate with locals in any part of the world.

The translator uses Android phones to record spoken words and then play them back in a different language.

The venue was the well appointed & snug living room of Mr. Amarjit Bakshi (1967 batch alumnus). It was in his very tastefully done mansion located in the beautifully maintained farm-house in South Delhi on a very cold evening of 15th January, 2011, that the gathering of 1966-1967 batch-mates of B Tech courses of IIT Delhi took place.
